Since I didn’t want to have just another city shot that was done in the exact same fashion, I tried something different. After talking with the team, we decided to just have it be left as is and give him bruised knuckles and a black eye to lean into that character. Part of me kept thinking that it looked odd having one character left out but on the other hand that’s sort of his gimmick being nothing fancy just brawn. David had his mechanical eye and I had my hand going invisible for some animated aspects however there was none I could think of for Jamie. One point I kept going back and forth on was Jamie in the front. Overall, I am really pleased with how the poster turned out.

In the end, my poster while in the scene ended up looking like this. After this, I decided that we would need a background that fit the theme of our trailer to really cement it and give it a nice pop. When I started creating this poster, I initially begun with an old A shaped logo that I made as the logo for the city as a starting point.įrom there, I trimmed this down to just the triangle of the A and kept the Northern Lights as an area to have our characters collects sort of like a frame.

Then since just a poster wouldn’t be a nice looking end screen, or match the aspect ratio, I decided that it would be fitting to make another city shot that had one building as the focal point with he advert for our movie being on the side of it. I had decided that I would make an entire finished product in Photoshop, then drag that PSD file into after effects and animate each aspect of the poster like the rest of the cyberpunk adverts in our trailer. Our first order of business was to get a collection of images that we could use of us so that I could cut them out in Photoshop. Because of this, we decided to replicate this style as it would allow me to lean on my Photoshop and AE experience to create a probably higher quality product.
